CharacterAI Inspired Story

A mysterious rider appears in a forest and encounters a humanoid monster attempting to slay him. He defeats the monster and discovers a mystical cabin in the woods. Inside, an old woman listens to his tale, allows him to rest, feeds him, and then gives him a sword to aid in his quest. We learn the rider is a knight, obliged to kill any magical being preying on humanity, seeking vengeance for the slaying of his family by such a being. Continuing his journey, the rider reaches a keep after spending a night at a farm, where he is kindly received. It's revealed that he was once a farmer himself. At the keep, plagued by a night dragon, he stays overnight, awaiting an audience with the local lord. He demonstrates magical tricks to the keep's soldiers, hinting at his extraordinary nature. Learning that the soldiers are preparing to attack the dragon, he dissuades them, warning of their likely demise. In the morning, hearing of the lord's plan to muster an army against the dragon, ...

Bureau of Weights and Measures: Adventure 2 Recap

For now I'll title the game we are playing Bureau of Weights and Measures as Bureau 14 might be a little to close to Bureau 13, but basically I'm running an X=Files / Fringe / Bureau 13 type of campaign using Savage Worlds.  You can read what happened last adventure by clicking [ HERE ]. The End Campaign

Steve ran a campaign in the D20 supplement known as " The End ".  It is the Biblical apocalypse with a twist.  "The meek shall inherit the earth" means that some people will be left behind after the tribulation and the sheep and the goats are separated to their eternal destinies.  Those left behind are the "meek" and have to deal with an earth transitioning from the past to something new...and the apocalypse elements are still present...supernatural beings, animals that have lost their fear of man, and a rapidly changing landscape.  Human survivors are few and not always friendly. Here is just a recap of what has happened so far. Our party meets at at the remnants of a local gun store and plunders it Our party sends a few people to scout out a local supermarket that is mostly looted. Some food is found but an unfortunate altercation happens and two people who may have been just looting like we were for survival end up being killed by a member of our...

Barbarians of Lemuria One Shot

Here is a rough outline of the  Prescott Area Role Playing Gamers' Association  Barbarians of Lemuria one off. Korgath arm wrestles an unnamed character and accidentally breaks his arm (Korgath didn't know this was actually one of the King's spies). Guards enter the tavern, Shena's roommate Jezabel points out Korgath to them. Korgath eludes guards and King's spy and slips out the back, only to be surrounded by even more guards and Aldus the King's Captain. Aldus takes Korgath to see the King. The King accuses Korgath of kidnapping his new lover, Shena, and taking a priceless opal. The King's sorcerer searches Korgath's mind by magic, almost triggering Korgath to attack, but his search of Korgath's memories is inconclusive. The King gives Korgath 20 days to find Shena and the O...

Temple of Elemental Evil, Follow On

The Players Rycros - Human Cleric (Robert) Juliana - Human Cleric (Lucy) Roygers - Human Paladin (Collin) The Italian - Human Fighter (Josh) / not character's real name, but hard to pronounce / remember 3 NPC's A Fighter, Bard, and Druid run by the DM (will update with names later). Session #1 The party returned to the keep / gate house again, this time they were met by a horde of zombies.  We dispatched those with a bunch of flaming oil flask that we had recovered earlier.  Having 2+ clerics turning the zombies continuously made the battle fairly quick and easy.  Then we came upon a group of Knolls. Rather than fight them we bribed them with a good chunk of loot to take us to the leader of the keep.  One of the Knolls lead us to a passageway and then departed.  We spied cult guards down the passage and we decided to charge. It was a bl...

Temple of Elemental Evil, A Second Attempt: The Death of Hawk

Initially a band of three adventures, Adriana a human priest of Paylor, Roygers Flint an overly confident Paladin, and the half-orc fighter Hawk set off to investigate rumors of evil stirrings in a nearby town.  When they arrived everything seemed fairly normal.  There were rumors whoever that a long dead cult were once again active.  There was also significant brigand activity in the area.  The adventures sought more information and determined and evil presence was surrounding the equipment store manager's hired help.  Also they found out that a Taylor had in months passed sown some garments for a customer that unbeknownst to the kind woman had the symbol of the ancient cult embedded in the garments. The adventures encountered a group of elves (well two elves and a half elf) in a tavern and struck up a conversation.  The elves turned out to have been drawn to the area for the same reasons the adventures came, and decided (for h...
