Here are a few of my initial ides. 1) I want combat to be deadly. I've seen games tone down the destructiveness of modern weaponry. This has always bothered me. I want a character or an adversary that gets pugged 3 times by a modern day assault rifle to die. I want the character to die (that is, if the character is unprotected). So, RPG's, in my opinion need to keep the lethality of modern weaponry (or future or past weaponry) intact. This brings up some interesting problems. Why would you want to play a game where your chances of getting killed in action are pretty high? You probably wouldn't. Yet I think games are more compelling if there is always somewhat of a reasonable threat of dying. So, if we keep the lethality of weapondry hi in our games, how can we keep charact...

D20 Future Adventure for 11/13/05 Jason - "Rygel", Phoenix Agent, sent to planet Edom because Phoenix computers indicated a probably of something signifigant happening in the region. Details sketchy. Cover as an alien antiquities dealer. Charted Passage to Edom on the the light Freighter Excalibur. James - "Spock" SSB agent sent investigate report that a Phoenix agent would be traveling to Edom. On charter flight on the Excalibur mission is to identify possible persons of interest to be arrested and interogated on docking with spaceport in Edom. Cover as a realistate barron looking for investments on Edom. David - "David T. Kirk", commander of the Excaliber. Owes money to crime boss. Crime boss indicates that someone who has been tipping off Confleet about the boss's smuggling activities will be traveling on board. A phoney distress call will come from the mining planet Franklen while the Excalibur is en-route to Edom. David will respon...
